Durability as standard
Durability refers to a product’s ability to remain functional throughout its design lifespan, without the need for excessive maintenance or repair, despite the challenges of normal use. According to our BBA certificates, Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) have a durability comparable to that of OSB/3 to BS EN 300:2006. As long as the installation remains weathertight, SIPs are expected to have a lifespan of at least 60 years. The BBA Certificate also offers detailed guidance on the protection, long-term maintenance, and repair requirements to ensure the continued performance of the building.
